United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County employs a full- and part-time staff totaling nearly 80 people in our Milwaukee and Waukesha locations, including professional and administrative positions in fund-raising, marketing, accounting, IT, and community impact.
In addition, United Way hires seasonal fund-raising (Loaned Executives and Administrative Loaned Executives) and pledge processing/accounting positions to help meet the fluctuating demands of the Community Campaign.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for developing, managing effective public and media relations that enhance and protect the United Way brand. Develop and execute social media strategy in alignment with overall UWGMWC media relations plan. Utilize integrated storytelling techniques to tell the United Way story across a variety of communication channels. Share key messages and engage with news, digital, and social media stakeholders in a compelling and influential manner. Assist with the extensive writing needs of the organization for both internal and external audiences.
