Reporting to the VP of Marketing Services and Global Communications at our global headquarters in Racine, the individual in this key role of the Marketing Services team will deliver value by enabling informed ecommerce and digital marketing campaign decisions, pertaining to seven new brand-related ecommerce sites, through actionable recommendations based on the effective measurement and analysis of marketing campaign data related to consumer behavior. Partners and consults with brand teams and others to set diagnostic metrics during campaign development and annual planning, to spot trends and to highlight marketing opportunities. Is a key driver in implementing ecommerce site testing, usability and performance.

  • Effectively measures, analyzes and quantifies ecommerce and digital marketing campaign data from multiple sources to enable informed marketing decisions. Tracks KPIs and diagnostic metrics from ecommerce site, marketing channel campaigns (email, search, social, display, etc.), site surveys, product reviews, etc. Measures and analyzes against benchmarks and trends. Shares results and actionable recommendations with key business partners.
  • Leads analytic requirements and insights to identify and measure key opportunities to improve end-to-end user funnels and the online shopping experience.
  • Consults with brand teams on KPI and diagnostic metric setting during annual planning and campaign development.
  • Develops scalable, flexible reporting and dashboards, which business leaders are able to utilize.
  • Analyzes new customer and retention campaigns to spot trends and highlight marketing opportunities.
  • Collaborates with external partner and the Marketing Services team on evaluating site usability and providing actionable recommendations to improve performance.
  • Creates and manages implementation of ecommerce site testing plan including usability, multi-variate testing, etc.
  • Partners with Marketing Services team on testing plan for key marketing channels.
  • Owns site tagging strategy, guidelines, governance and implementation management. Partners with the Marketing Services and Brand teams to conduct/share deep dives and ad hoc analyses of ecommerce/web performance trends and understand lifetime value across campaign types.
  • Collaborates with external partners to enhance Johnson Outdoors’ digital analytical capabilities, both quantity and quality.
  • Maintains and optimizes Google Analytics and other marketing technology to help stakeholders understand consumer behavior on brand sites.
  • Champions a culture of analytics and testing while working closely with Brand to improve website performance.
  • Monitors projects to meet analytics deadlines and data quality standards.
  • Acts as a team player in partnering within Marketing Services and other departments and demonstrates the ability to influence without direct reporting accountability.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, marketing analytics, math or equivalent.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in digital and/or eCommerce analytics.
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • A strong understanding of web site performance drivers and the ability to use data to drive conversion.
  • Experience synthesizing response data and making sound, actionable recommendations.
  • A complete understanding of competitive analysis and key industry trends to provide context for the performance analysis of the company’s websites.
  • Strong working knowledge of online marketing channels such as Paid Search, Email, SEO, Social and Display.
  • Expert-level experience in Google Analytics and Microsoft Office Suite required, especially Excel.
  • A reputation as highly organized, detail-oriented and able to prioritize effectively.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the ability to synthesize and analyze large sets of data to yield actionable findings.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of business professionals.
