The TEMPO Milwaukee Communication and Events Intern is a college junior, senior, or recent graduate pursuing a degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related field. The right candidate has sharp writing skills, excellent organizational skills with a strong desire to learn the ins and outs of a small nonprofit organization. This individual can juggle multiple projects and deadlines under the supervision and direction of the Program Development Manager. The Communication and Events Intern is hands-on, enjoys working independently and is excited to take the lead on various communications and event planning activities. With excellent communication skills and a professional presence, s/he welcomes the opportunity to interact with TEMPO Milwaukee members and the public via phone, e-mail and in-person. The candidate must have availability during regular offices hours (8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and during events that occur outside of these hours as agreed upon (morning and evening).
The internship runs throughout the summer with an end date to be discussed.
