The Media Relations & Corporate Communications Specialist will grow kCura’s national brand awareness through strategic public relations and thought leadership initiatives, setting us apart as a company and making sure our organization is positively identified with what we care about most. The individual must have demonstrated proficiency in media relations, including planning/strategy, research, content development, pitching, and media monitoring.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry trade, local, and national media to consistently secure coverage of kCura’s company and products that aligns with our vision, goals, and priorities. 
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and execute multi-faceted digital marketing communications campaigns that promote Relativity 
  • Execute a thought leadership program that resonates with target audiences and leverages internal and external data, kCura executives, and in-house experts 
  • Identify, manage, and promote kCura’s involvement in events, awards, and sponsorships that raise our brand awareness among key audiences 
  • Drive corporate communications plan for product launches, industry trade shows, and kCura’s annual user conference, Relativity Fest 
  • Write and edit materials including press releases, FAQs, contributed articles, media pitches, award submissions, research reports, fact sheets, and briefing documents 
  • Conduct research and monitor media landscape to continuously identify new opportunities for kCura’s products and spokespeople 
  • Work directly with kCura’s customers and developer partners to craft compelling storylines and media announcements; drive review and approval of partner content 
  • Establish KPIs for branding, communications, media, and sponsorships and monitor company investments to deliver improved ROI performance

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of experience in public relations, communications, and/or related discipline 
  • PR agency experience and/or track record of securing national business and technology media coverage preferred 
  • Strong writer who is comfortable translating complex, technical concepts for a wide variety of audiences; experienced in crafting compelling messaging, stories, and narratives 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to interact with and influence senior executives 
  • Tenacity and willingness to get ideas to, and stay in front of, the right people 
  • Plans, organizes, schedules, and tracks activity with a focus on measurable results. 
  • Extremely detail-oriented
