onPeak is looking for a code junky.

Someone who loves writing code...maybe even too much.

onPeak is a leading provider of event travel services powered by our proprietary and award winning application platform, COMPASS. We work in a super casual environment and we insist on working on cool stuff.

Responsibilities:

  • Development and maintenance of the onPeak software platforms - full stack 
  • Working with DevOps on deployment of your code 
  • Working with Product Managers to spec out new features 
  • Writing automated tests for your code 
  • Documentation of technical resources 
  • Keeping the Director of Development apprised of all work being done as well as impediments

Qualifications:

the “must haves”:

  • Fluency in English (both written and verbal) 
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States 
  • Seriously serious javascript chops 
  • Python experience 
  • coldfusion experience (or, at least, a willingness to deal with it) 
  • real web app experience – full stack 
  • sql chops 
  • CSS and SASS experience 
  • source control management (git, hg) 
  • Linux experience

the extra credit list:

  • Build server architecture (ie Jenkins) 
  • web services (design & implementation) 
  • server configuration automation (ie chef, puppet, packer, grunt) 
  • Node.js 
  • Pyramid (aka Pylons)
