Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a recognized expert in campaign project management. 
  • Provides guidance, troubleshoots and answers complex questions related to this area of expertise 
  • Work with all internal and external cross functional teams including: fulfillment, email, analytics, creative, marketing manager and data in both email and print projects 
  • Manage competing priorities and timelines of cross functional team 
  • Oversee projects from start to finish, managing timelines and making sure that all aspects of the project are delivered smoothly and on time 
  • Work closely with UHC business segment marketing leaders (E&I, M&R, C&S) and Optum Marketing Managers to ensure program is meeting business and brand objectives 
  • Coordinate materials, schedule and facilitate cross enterprise project status meetings 
  • Develop and manage project estimates and timelines 
  • Create / manage workflow schedules and assignments 
  • Manage creative development process with internal / external creative partners 
  • Provide Fulfillment Services print delivery instructions 
  • Provide final invoices for approval and submission 
  • Ensure print / post / creative costs are within budget 
  • Manage inventory items and requests 
  • Must be able to learn quickly and adapt to new processes easily 
  • Participate in special projects Understand and adapt to the Optum culture

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or experience equivalent 
  • 5 years project management or related work experience 
  • 5 years of experience delivery projects on time and within the stated budget 
  • Excellent communication, organization, time - management and leadership skills 
  • A self - starter; and a nimble problem solver who is able to manage projects from start to finish 
  • Excellent project management skills; 
  • Must be able to handle a number of projects simultaneously and lead and manage cross functional teams to support various projects 
  • Must be very detailed oriented, well organized and able to thrive in deadline driven environment 
  • Experience with the following Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of successful work within an internal creative services team or external agency 
  • A solid understanding of the marketing industry at large; an ability and a desire to adapt to the changing landscape of healthcare 
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure; maintain quality and efficiency in an environment that requires you to move quickly, take initiative, manage changing priorities, multi - task and work cross - functionally to deliver against constant deadlines 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collegially and collaboratively with all levels and functions within the corporation to foster partnership and teamwork
