From the time you join our team, you will work in a team-focused, results-driven environment gaining practical marketing experience as you execute marketing plans based on strategies set with the marketing team and product managers.

Responsibilities include effectively managing your workload to meet project objectives, expectations and deadlines, and acting as a steward of CUNA’s brand to ensure the integrity of our brand and communications. Marketing projects include positioning services to credit union staff through a variety of digital, print and in-person experiences including direct mail, email, website, social media, PR, advertising and events.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism or Advertising 
  • Excellent written and in-person communication skills, ability to work well with diverse teams. 
  • Strong project management skills. 
  • Highly organized. 
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects at varying stages of completion. 
  • Able to work successfully with limited direction. 
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, strong attention to detail. 
  • Experience preparing cohesive content for e-mails, websites, brochures and other promotions and campaigns. 
  • Experience providing input on marketing campaign planning and implementing multiple elements simultaneously. 
  • Experience working with designers and providing creative input on promotions and marketing plans. 
  • Experience with marketing databases, including establishing target audience criteria, pulling data for campaign use and general knowledge of query and report generation. 
  • Works well in fast-paced, deadline driven environment. 
  • Able to prioritize and manage stress. 
  • Contributes to the success of the team, including: demonstrating a positive attitude, suggesting solutions and new ideas, interest in learning, open to change, willingness to on work group and other special projects. 
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office. 
  • Prior experience with html and e-mail campaign tools a plus. 
  • Prior marketing department or creative agency experience as an assistant account executive or coordinator a plus. 
  • Social media and/or public relations experience a plus.
