The Advancement Associate: Annual Fund and Stakeholder Relations is an integral member of a three-person advancement team at Nativity Jesuit Academy. This person is responsible for directing and managing the school’s annual fund, for managing the school’s development database, and for conducting analytics on the school’s database of donors, prospects, and constituents. The position reports to the Director of Advancement.

Annual Fund:

This position is charged with overseeing the successful implementation of a comprehensive annual fund. Under the guidance of the Advancement Director, the Associate will outline a comprehensive, tactical plan for securing annual financial support for the Nativity Jesuit mission from board, alumni, and stakeholders.

The Nativity Jesuit annual fund employs a multi-media solicitation approach (face-to-face, personalized direct-mail, phone, and web), strategically timed and focused across the fiscal year.

Principal duties including:

  • organizing, coordinating, and executing the mailing of the annual fund letters through a mail-house vendor, including assisting the writing of letters.
  • Researching foundations and assisting the Advancement Director with grant writing
  • Preparing grants under $10,000

Stakeholder Relations:

The Associate is also responsible for managing the school's database and the information the school holds on its constituents.  Included in this area of responsibility: data entry, gift acknowledgement, ongoing records updating, prospect research, and report generation/analytics.

Principal duties include:

  • Send letters of acknowledgement to annual fund donors
  • Manage and update the donor database
  • Provide in-depth analytics on the school's database of constituents and donors

Other duties include assisting with events as needed, assisting with updating the website content, and R&D content for e-newsletter communications. 

  • 2-3 years of experience in development, marketing, or communications preferred 
  • Research and analytical skills 
  • Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills 
  • Demonstrated ability in drafting, editing, and proofreading documents with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel 
  • CMS experience preferred 
  • Ability to meet deadlines and achieve objectives 
  • Ability to work with others within the department and school 
  • Ability to work with vendors (printers, mail-house, etc.) to achieve desired results
