Kane is seeking a well-rounded, highly professional, organized individual to step into a new role: the Communications & Marketing Account Executive.

Position summary:

The Communications & Marketing Account Executive is responsible for ensuring Kane’s clients are well-informed and that plans and projects are executed as planned. You will be responsible for managing, organizing and executing strategic communications and marketing plans, ensuring clients receive a high level of service and that internal teams have the input they need to produce high-quality tactics. The project scope can vary from a single piece of collateral or a video, to integrated campaigns utilizing PR, internal communications, advertising, events, digital communications and more. This will involve working directly with the Director of Communications and CEO to understand the strategy and brand; with clients to understand the content; and with freelance creative team members to convey the scope of work on their plate. You will be responsible for managing and tracking projects, as well as offering regular updates to clients to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and ROI.

  • An organized planner (with experience working with project management tools) who would be motivated to develop processes and organization where they do not exist. 
  • Appreciative of creative work tied to strategies, plans and business objectives. 
  • A strong writer. You know AP style, and have dabbled when needed in writing a wide variety of material from radio scripts to brochure content to newsletter articles and more. 
  • A driver. You create timelines and set deadlines and are dogged about your follow-through. 
  • Highly resourceful. You utilize all the tools at your disposal to find answers to your questions, and have no problem picking up the phone to call around for answers. 
  • Inquisitive. You ask great questions and try to understand how things tie to business objectives. 
  • Someone who thrives on a small team. You collaborate with others well and understand the need to wear many hats. 

What you will be doing:

  • Act as company liaison between internal team and secured client; establish and maintain client relationships 
  • Launch and manage communications campaigns and projects and manage ongoing client requests 
  • Manage a developed detailed communications plan to track progress/metrics; track performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of overall project goals with high project performance 
  • Identify potential roadblocks related to budgets, resources and timelines, and reporting these potential issues to Communications Director 
  • Work cross-functionally with freelance designers, writers and internal PR team, account coordinator and creative services director to develop program materials 
  • Write creative briefs and work with freelance creative team members to create materials 
  • Collaborate with PR team members and manage the development of any creative materials needed to support their plans 
  • Manage the work of account coordinators and/or interns as the team grows 
  • Assist in development of internal processes and procedures for the firm as the firm grows 

Experience needed for success:

  • 4-year degree in communications, marketing, advertising or public relations 
  • Strong track record of success in a communications or marketing role with 4-6 years experience 
  • Past experience managing integrated marketing plans; must be well versed in writing creative briefs, managing clients, working with creative staff and media buyers 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to provide writing samples 
  • Proven ability to work in a self-driven environment in an eclectic role with the ability to manage and organize tasks without formal framework
