Coordinates communications programs and assists in the development and implementation of marketing materials and community relations activities that promote the Association and funeral service

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Coordinates the Association’s blast emails and faxes; including scheduling, researching topics, proofing, obtaining approvals and distribution to targeted audience.

2. Responsible for the Association’s convention sign management; including all administrative/data entry work involved with inputting information into the database as well as updating all information; and routing the sign information to the appropriate parties for approval.

3. Responsible for entry processing of the Association’s Pursuit of Excellence member recognition program; including creating certificates for winners, creating packets to be used at the Association’s annual convention, creating display materials for “Best of the Best” program, and creating community picks flyer.

4. Responsible for managing all department collateral requests for marketing materials.

5. Responsible for updating and managing conference break PowerPoint slides.

6. Responsible for managing CRM (database) email workflows for the Association.

7. Responsible for processing invoices for the communications division.

8. Responsible for coordinating print and digital ad design/placement per schedule.

9. Responsible for updating all standard news releases/templates.

10. Responsible for the Communications Division mailings, preparing materials such as media training binders, and press kits and maintaining Power Point presentations for brand consistency.

11. Management of promotional items and processes.

12. Promote and assist in carrying out the Association’s mission, vision and goals in a manner consistent with the Association’s stated values.

13. Exhibit flexible, creative and innovative approaches while performing essential responsibilities and assignments and participating in special project teams and other work groups.

14. All other duties as assigned.

A Bachelor of Arts degree in communications, marketing or journalism or related field, with 2-3 years experience in communications. Must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, proofreading, time management, technology skills and interpersonal skills, as well as creativity, solid judgment, and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize daily workflow. Strong PC skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Some travel may be required.
