A day in the life of our Internal Communications Manager: (roles and responsibility)

As the Internal Communications Manager you will work together with an Internal Communications Specialist to oversee the implementation of MGIC’s internal communications plan. You will be responsible for ensuring that consistent and timely messages are delivered across the organization, and that these messages reinforce our mission, values, business goals, brand, and change management principles. You will meet with senior leaders as needed to determine communication needs and to ensure that timely and consistent messaging are delivered across the organization. You will meet regularly with department leaders and change management teams to consult and advise regarding internal communications, discuss company news, goals, survey results and feedback. You will direct and oversee the day-to-day activities of the Internal Communications Specialist and design resources assigned to communications projects. Prepare and issue press releases as needed for Human Resources, Marketing, and other non-financial topics. Together with the Internal Communications Specialist, you will maintain an ongoing internal content calendar and create and deliver internal communications in a variety of media including MGICToday.net, MGIC Today newsletter and digital signage.

What we’re looking for: (requirements)

We are looking for a dynamic individual who has experience in an internal communications role for 7 years. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal A passion for change management, and experience leading change initiatives, is required. The candidate must be comfortable meeting with, and presenting to, executive leadership. Must have a bachelor’s degree in communications or journalism, and 7 years in progressively responsible communications roles.
