Purpose:

The Communications Manager is responsible for partnering with the Communications Director to develop and implement communication strategies in support of their assigned business areas. This position collaborates with staff at all levels to drive a variety of communications and reputation building initiatives designed to meet overall brand standards and demonstrate Prime’s value.

Responsiblities:

  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across the company to evaluate, plan, and implement significant communication strategies (including messaging, materials, and delivery mechanisms) support business objectives and help further the company’s strategy 
  • Assess industry, company, and clinical situations and translate them into effective, comprehensive communications that deliver Prime’s message and position to all pertinent audiences 
  • Develop and execute integrated, multi-channel communication strategies in alignment with other areas across the business Partner with the Creative Services team to align verbal messaging with visual messaging in collateral, presentations, mail, online and email communications 
  • Work with the Executive Writer to identify opportunities to support executive visibility and draft speeches or messages for company executives in support of business partner objectives 
  • Manage multiple projects and initiatives in order to prioritize effectively and meet deliverable dates
  • Seek ways to continuously improve communication strategies used to engage internal stakeholders 
  • Proactively drive results and use metrics to evaluate progress (e.g. page views, open rates, etc.) 
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business, marketing, communication or public relations, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience 
  • 6 years agency or corporate communications experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, critical thinking, decision making, and relationship building skills 
  • Ability to interact with senior leaders and effectively make recommendations that tie back to business objectives 
  • Ability to distill complex concepts into concise and compelling communications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Employee communication experience, particularly related to benefits enrollment and Human Resource communication support 
  • Familiarity with interactive media and communication tools including video, CRM software, web editing tools, SharePoint, Microsoft Outlook and other social collaboration vehicles 
  • Project management experience 
  • Previous health care experience; pharmacy or pharmacy benefit management knowledge

Minimum Physical Job Requirements:

  • Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear 
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms 
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch 
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
