The Copywriter is responsible for understanding the products, services, brands and audiences of EPIC Creative's clients and writing effective content that is sensitive to the objectives and media of each project. The Copywriter will work closely with account and creative teams to develop engaging concepts and executions that position our clients in the best possible light relative to their competition and within the marketplace as a whole. The Copywriter will participate in creative meetings, adhere to deadlines and budgets, and be able to write for a wide range of formats (print, digital, video, radio, social, etc.) and industries (both B2B and B2C). The ability to write to technical/professional and general consumer audiences is essential. The Copywriter will also be required to proof copy as needed. This position will report directly to the head of the copy department.

  • Work with executive, account and creative teams to develop compelling, clear copy that meets the strategic marketing goals of our clients. 
  • Report to the copy department manager. 
  • Contribute to creative development sessions. 
  • Understand and write to the unique style requirements of print, digital, radio, video, social, brochure, packaging and other media formats. 
  • Participate in client meetings and effectively communicate copy rationale. 
  • Track and report hours on a daily basis.
  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, journalism, English or related field. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • 1 or more years of post-college agency or client-side experience. 
  • Understanding of AP Style requirements. 
  • Quickly change writing styles to suit various project needs. 
  • Respond to very short deadlines and prioritize workload. 
  • Edit your own work and that of others. 
  • Accept edits from others without getting offended. 
  • Work collaboratively with account and creative staff.
