image.works is a financial and healthcare marketing firm seeking a full-time copywriter.

image.works, a fast-growing marketing firm on Madison’s west side, seeks a full-time copywriter. This position requires writing copy for direct mail, ads, newsletters and other marketing materials within the financial services and healthcare industries. Candidates must be fast and accurate workers with excellent writing skills, a keen eye for proofreading and strong communication skills. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Communicate with clients and understand their needs
• Familiarize yourself with clients’ products, services, target audience and competitors
• Develop fresh, innovative, compelling concepts, often in partnership with designers
• Write clear, persuasive, original copy that exceeds expectations
• Modify copy until client is satisfied
• Meticulously proofread all materials to check spelling, grammar and punctuation
• Work on numerous campaigns at once, often under pressure and demanding deadlines

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required (preferred majors include Communications, Advertising/Marketing, English or related field)
• 1-3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• A talent for persuasion, a vivid imagination and a fluency with language
• Exceptional grammar and proofreading skills
• Ability to work well and play nice with others in a team environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with clients
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust to inevitable changes in timelines, deadlines and project goals
• Portfolio demonstrating strong copywriting skills
