OVERVIEW:

General Mills is seeking a Creative Design Specialist to provide graphic design services for General Mills internal clients. Areas of work may include: infographics, PowerPoint, communications, research/strategy, and environmental design for print media or digital delivery. Maintain high quality standards in concept, visual, and technical execution. Manage multiple projects and work successfully in a fast paced environment. Provide outstanding customer service with a high level of discretion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create high quality digital projects, print materials and graphics. 
  • Provide graphic design expertise to GMI internal clients by creating visual concepts to enhance their project’s communication objectives. 
  • Create and execute design concepts as well as maintain visual appearance, usability and brand continuity throughout projects 
  • Build and sustain effective relationships with clients and team members. 
  • Project a high level of client attentiveness and enthusiasm to serve others. 
  • Interpret the client’s vision and bring their project to life while managing their expectations during the creative process. 
  • Maintain confidentiality. 
  • Prioritize and organize workflow to meet tight deadlines. 
  • Solve creative problems independently and in groups. 
  • Identify cost savings opportunities by creatively providing graphic design services to internal clients to minimize the use of outside vendors. 
  • Research, recommend, learn and apply emerging technologies as appropriate, in order to expand upon available design services and drive higher quality products.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Minimum 1-3 Years relative experience 
  • Computer skills – PC based 
  • Strong proficiency with InDesign and Illustrator 
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite.
