We are looking for a Digital Content Strategist to join our team of thinkers. This client-facing role is responsible for developing organic and paid social media plans, crafting social-forward content and managing day-to-day communications and strategies. They will also support the agency’s marketing team by developing digital and content marketing strategies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the planning and execution of a variety of projects including monthly content calendars, campaigns, and promotions.

Create content on behalf of clients, including social media post copy, photography, video, blog posts and more.

Act as community manager and engage with audiences in real-time.

Measure results and impact of social initiatives, producing monthly, quarterly and custom reports as requested.

Produce competitive audits and turn findings into actionable insights.

Develop a deep understanding of the business and audiences for clients of responsibility.

Work in concert with account services, media, strategy, PR, creative and project management teams to develop and execute social media and content marketing components of campaigns.

Help agency and clients engage in and seed conversation online.

Develop comprehensive social media guidelines for agency and clients that provide clear direction to any parties who will be contributing to social media engagement efforts.

Be an expert in the area of digital marketing, including but not limited to:

  • Social media
  • Email marketing
  • Mobile marketing
  • Online advertising and online promotions
  • Website analytics
  • Media analytics

Keep abreast of the latest developments and trends in the field of digital marketing communications, specifically social media/content marketing.

Develop effective and efficient agency tools and processes for the planning, execution, and management of social media/content marketing initiatives.

Participate in new business pitches as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Live and actively participate in the digital world (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, blogs, etc.)
  • Expert familiarity with leading social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, Flickr, Pinterest, blogging platforms, etc.)
  • Solid writing skills and an appreciation of the nuances of brand authenticity and voice
  • Passion for learning about new industries, topics and trends
  • Ability to tell client stories in fresh interesting ways
  • Understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) and its implications on web-based content
  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Ability to work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to present effectively and persuasively to both internal and external audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple clients/assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) as well as an experience with social media monitoring and web analytics platforms (SproutSocial, Hootsuite, Crimson Hexagon, Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative programs and content management systems(CMS) is a plus
