The Digital Marketing Coordinator supports the Agency's Advancement department’s fundraising efforts through coordination of online fundraising, and supports all agency-wide online marketing needs.

This is a full-time position located at our Boys Campus-1140 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, IL 60607.

The schedule for this position may include: Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm, evenings and weekends as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Implement strategies for increasing online revenue and social media engagement. 
  • Initiate, develop, and manage Mercy Home’s primary web sites and other digital presences. 
  • Develop, manage, and implement online fundraising campaigns, online marketing, mobile marketing, and social media. 
  • Develop online aspects of campaigns to support other Agency Advancement efforts, including special events and direct mail. 
  • Stay on top of the latest social networking and web trends, and understand impact on Mercy Home. 
  • Develop and lead the implementation of a detailed calendar of daily e-communications, including email appeals, web content updates, and social media posts, to various constituencies. 
  • Coordinate the online needs of other departments within the agency. 
  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot online donation and payment processing systems. 
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring that projects are completed on-time and accurately.
  • Other projects as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Proficiency using Adobe CS6 Creative Suite, with an emphasis on InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop. 
  • Some photography or video production skills. 
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS. 
  • Experience with Wordpress. 
  • Strong conceptual thinker with copy & visual editing abilities. 
  • Comfortable both explaining and technically implementing SEO, Paid Search, display, social management tools, Google Analytics, alt-tags, meta-tags, wire frames, tracking tags, quality scores. 
  • Content writing experience with a firm understanding of writing for the web and search engine optimization. 
  • Lives life online and understands both those who do and those who do not. 
  • Passion for all things digital marketing: Search, Social, Email & the content that fuels them. 
  • Expertise with social media measurement tools and platforms; timely knowledge of trends and hot topics; experience with online promotions, sweepstakes/contests and partnerships a plus. 
  • Experience integrating social media programming and communications across multiple platforms and channels. 
  • Experience with online issues/reputation management. 
  • Experience with common email marketing playforms, such as Constant Contact or Mail Chimp. 
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to manage budgets and calculate program ROI. 
  • Ability to think, plan and execute resourcefully, across multiple tasks, with minimal supervision. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects. 
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines. 
  • Experience with direct marketing and fundraising preferred. 
  • Proficiency in PC systems. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. 
  • Detail oriented. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality. 
  • Ability to work both independently and as an active team member. 
  • Ability to maintain professional demeanor while exercising judgment and discretion in work.
