Job summary

We are looking for a talented Email marketing manager to take the lead with our email marketing strategies. Your main duties include running email marketing campaigns end-to-end and managing email databases, send schedules and drip campaigns across the organization. Email campaign needs include prospect messaging, customer messaging, personalization and transactional messaging. This position requires knowledge of marketing automation and an understanding of CRM email capabilities.This is a manager role that encompasses both planning and execution.

Summary of essential job functions

  • Manage staff of Marketing Automation Manager and Email Designers
  • Oversee content, design and implementation of email campaigns
  • Ability to both plan and execute from design to final draft
  • Manage development of sales driven campaigns, in alignment with marketing campaigns
  • Proofread all content for clarity, grammar and spelling
  • Ensure mobile-friendly email templates
  • Ensure proper campaign tagging
  • Maintain email templates for consistency in look, feel and branding
  • Maintain proper email scheduling, user guides and standards of work
  • Work with Audience team to manage email cleansing processes, list updates and list segmentation
  • Report on email metrics
  • Analyze campaign performance and suggest improvements
  • Ensure emails follow industry policies and best practices for layout and subject line
  • Ensure proper testing for all devices
  • Perform A/B testing where appropriate
  • Create and maintain standards for tradeshow, webinar and event communications

Minimum requirements:

  • Proven work experience as an Email marketing manager or Digital marketing specialist
  • Exceptional communication and copywriting skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Hands on experience with HTML and content management systems
  • Analytical and process oriented
  • Positive, self-motivated, with a desire to constantly search out ways of improving process and project effectiveness
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to review data and translate to clear, actionable insights that lead to improvement in campaign and business performance
  • Knowledge of SEO/SEM and Google Analytics
  • Ecommerce environment experience

Knowledge/Skills required:

  • 7+ years of experience in email and digital marketing
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Strong organization skills and flexibility when managing multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in marketing automation technology
  • Experience managing a team
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong design skills
  • HTML proficiency
