Assist Events Foundation staff with planning certain components of the 21st annual Miracle Marathon (WKLH 96.5 FM).

Receive valuable experience working in a fun, fast-paced, professional development office as a member of our team! Must be available to work May 24-25, 2018 (during the Miracle Marathon).

(Jan – May) Assists the volunteer coordinator in securing over 300 volunteers to staff the phone bank during the Miracle Marathon. Project includes development of written materials, soliciting participation, coordinating mailing, and oversees volunteer training during the event. Assists events coordinator in various projects related to the Miracle Marathon including signage needs, event supplies and other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience Needed:

  • An interest in special event fund raising
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creativity/Enthusiasm
  • Organizational skills - Ability to manage time and meeting numerous deadlines
  • Interpersonal skills - will work with volunteers and staff
  • Computer use- limited desktop publishing work and proficient understanding in Microsoft programs.
  • Car for local travel, minimal. (Mileage will be reimbursed)
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 40 lbs

Intern must be available to work a minimum of 16 hours/week starting in January and ending May 31, 2018. This internship is available for college credit and is not paid.
