Fast Horse — an award-winning, integrated creative agency — is hiring a Group Media Director to join our growing team. Candidates must have at least 10 years experience and comprehensive knowledge of media strategy, planning and buying.

We’re searching for someone with the expertise to develop paid media strategies, develop media plans, and execute from start to finish. Successful candidates must have the ability and desire to work as part of a truly integrated teams, working closely with account services, strategy, creative, design, interactive, and other amplification disciplines to conceive campaigns and flawlessly bring them to life. We need someone who combines a strategic approach and creative thinking with the desire to stay close to the day-to-day work. In addition, we’re looking for someone eager to tackle the challenge of growing a first-class media discipline within the context of a modern creative agency. Agency experience is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Establishing Fast Horse as a leader in paid media and amplification 
  • Evaluating Fast Horse’s current structure, capabilities and work to determine opportunities and challenges for the agency to achieve its creative vision, both with respect specifically to paid media, but also as it relates to other amplification and agency disciplines. 
  • Creating and executing a plan for a profitable paid media discipline within Fast Horse, including resources, capabilities, and staff. 
  • Ensuring Fast Horse is on the cutting edge of media buying and planning services, and keeping us one step ahead of the changing media landscape. 
  • Sourcing and managing the databases, analytic tools, and media-buying systems needed to support Fast Horse’s media discipline. 
  • Analyzing demographic and other consumer data, and market and segment data, to identify targets for paid media. 
  • Developing comprehensive and detailed media plans. 
  • Creating and managing media budgets for integrated campaigns. 
  • Presenting media plans to clients and offering ongoing counsel. 
  • Executing day-to-day work, including negotiating, purchasing, scheduling, tracking and billing. 
  • Monitoring, analyzing and optimizing media campaigns. 
  • Contributing to agency strategy and creative output and integration of other disciplines 
  • Uncovering and helping to lead new business opportunities with risk-taking clients that will allow Fast Horse to do its best creative work. 
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with potential partners and other resources. 
  • Advising and participating in hiring and recruiting in the media department and beyond in connection with Fast Horse’s growth as an integrated creative agency. 
  • Contributing to a culture and environment that fosters professional and personal growth for all employees. 
  • Developing learning and training opportunities for employees as it relates to media and amplification. 
  • Driving innovation in our approach to media and amplification. 
  • Establishing Fast Horse as a leading creative agency through thought leadership and industry visibility locally, nationally, and globally. 
  • Ensuring that Fast Horse establishes and maintains an inclusive and creative culture that supports our work for clients and fosters connections among employees. 
  • Supervising and mentoring media employees.
