ArgoNorth is a small design firm in Mequon, WI specializing in portable lighting products (flashlights, headlamps, lanterns, etc) for brands in the outdoor sporting goods industry.  We are embarking on new venture into lighting products for the home and workplace and are looking for ID freelancers to help with industrial design, styling, and engineering for manufacturability.  Manufacturing will be done by factory partners in Asia.

Be part of the creation of a new class of specialty lighting products for demanding consumers at home and at work. Product concepts, branding and distribution strategies are in place.  We need help developing the product line and getting it ready for manufacturing.

Freelance design services on an hourly or project basis, to help develop and engineer a new product line for the consumer market.  MUST have expertise in Solidworks and 3D modeling.  

  • Requires relevant experience with styling and engineering consumer products, hand tools and/or appliances.
  • Design for manufacturability with metals, plastics, and types of molding.
  • Experience with electronic devices and LEDs a plus.
  • Expertise in Solidworks is required.

Hourly or project basis.
