The Interim Design Manager designs materials that reflect and support the image of Girl Scouting by providing leadership in the creation of communication pieces for all departments; and supports the maintenance of website supporting documents.

This temporary position starts as soon as possible part time (25 hs/wk) shadowing the design manager and then switching to full time (40 hrs/wk). Position estimated to end November 30.

1. Ensure every document design match es the goals of the piece, the target audience, and integrates the branding image and goals of the organization.

2. Coordinates and develops appropriate visual materials to support all council-wide initiatives

3. Support the maintenance of the website, including production and audit of applicable supporting materials (PDF,forms,flyers).

4. Work with freelance photographers to secure dates/locations for photo shoots.

Two-year associate's degree in graphic design or a related field, with courses in web design and two years of experience in the graphic design field.

Working knowledge of graphic designing software in a PC environment: InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Publisher, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to understand, interpret and promote Girl Scout graphic standards in all communication projects and to internal audiences.

A self-starter, who works independently, takes initiative, uses discretion, is flexible, thrives in a changing and fast paced environment, is organized and has a strong attention to detail.
