Job Summary

Under limited supervision, works closely with Corporate Communications management on a variety of internal communications projects, including writing timely communications, supporting activities related to corporate-wide communications vehicles, implementing and tracking communications activities, and supporting corporate events.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Write stories, news articles, Q&As and other content for intranet sites and other communications channels managed by Corporate Communications.
  • Coordinate closed-loop communications processes and reporting on colleague submissions received through the Corporate Communications mailbox, Vision Resource Center, surveys, and other internal response vehicles.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of enhanced internal communications platforms.
  • Develop and manage the publication of content to internal digital communications channels.
  • Create internal surveys and related reports in support of Corporate Communications, business line and support area initiatives.
  • Act as communications project manager of select internal communications and corporate projects. Includes monitoring progress and reporting of communications initiatives.
  • Assist with the production of internal events, including colleague engagement contests/event and corporate events.
  • Understand and follow communications protocol to effectively and efficiently publicize appropriate messages and information for response to critical incidents as well as standard communications.
  • Assist in the alignment of internal communications activities with public relations, corporate social responsibility, marketing, line of business, and operational/support area partners for maximum effectiveness and resource allocation.

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience- Journalism, marketing, public relations, communications, English or business
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree - Journalism, marketing, public relations, communications, English or business.

Experience:

  • Required: 2-4 years - Corporate communications, marketing, journalism or public relations with strong writing experience. Print, video and event production experience helpful.
  • Preferred: 4-7 years - Corporate communications, marketing, journalism or public relations with strong writing experience. Print, video and event production experience helpful.
