Overview:

Seeking an Investment Marketing Writer to innovate, develop and implement integrated, high-quality marketing collateral (including, but not limited to, sales ideas, strategy and new business pitch books, investment profiles, digital and social media) to support and enhance the growth of the Deutsche Asset Management retail and institutional business lines.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Align, coordinate and execute the business’s overall strategic positioning, messaging and value proposition by working closely with management, product and sales teams, as well as other areas of Marketing 
  • Build and implement timely, results-oriented product marketing plans and programs to support the assigned product line 
  • Employ a digital first mindset for all content created, including development of Web content to engage various customer segments (ex: video script production, web panels, strategy pages) 
  • Manage the marketing strategy for the new product pipeline, including the promotion of new products across all venues in coordination with channel marketing, digital marketing, press relations and fulfillment 
  • Use deep knowledge of industry and internal compliance regulations to create and support all product-related content for the business’s focus products, specific asset classes or major projects 
  • Work with creative services, project managers and fulfillment to ensure adequate supply, effective distribution and fulfillment of product collateral to target audiences 
  • Regularly monitor and assess product information needs in coordination with sales, specialist and investments teams, plan for upcoming events or campaigns and ensure the timely delivery of all required product marketing items 
  • Regularly conduct product and industry research to support best-in-class product marketing materials 
  • Initiate new, innovative product and practical solutions to capture sales opportunities and retain clients as marketplace needs shift and grow 
  • Build and maintain strong, positive interpersonal working relationships with all applicable constituencies to accomplish departmental and firm-wide goals. Ability to integrate and communicate strategic ideas across various internal and external channels

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in business/marketing/advertising and/or writing/communications 
  • Series 7 (advantageous) 
  • Series 63 (advantageous)

Experience:

  • Well organized, goal-oriented, ability to juggle many projects simultaneously 
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills; copywriting and editing background helpful 
  • Strong knowledge of sales and distribution process 
  • Strong knowledge of the regulatory environment 
  • Strong creative background and print production knowledge helpful 
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines 
  • Minimum of two years of writing, marketing and/or sales experience 
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team member
