Junior Art Director

Develop and present graphic design solutions based on client creative brief and other inputs. Execute approved graphic solution. Manage production and layout per approved design based on print or digital specifications.

Job Description:

• Collaborate with Account Executives, Creative Director, Product Marketing Managers and Copy Writers to maintain brand standards.
• Explore graphic design options that achieve communication goals.
• Express ideas well verbally and graphically. 
• Work with department peers, freelancers and vendors to produce final art files.
• Establish and meet schedules based on client needs.

Other Responsibilities:

• Attend print press runs to oversee and manage product color reproduction quality. 
• Identify paper and print techniques with Production Manager based on client requests and budget. 
• Coordinate with Account Executives and Photographer to identify and shoot product photography. 
• Assemble and archive digital files using file structure and processes defined by Graphics Manager. 
• Contact outside freelancers, negotiate rates and provide necessary materials when needed and approved by Creative Director.

Requirements:

• Formal art/commercial art or related education (Bachelor’s degree). 
• At least 5 years commercial art experience in an agency or corporate communications environment. 
• References and portfolio

• Proficient with current Macintosh platform and server-based network environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Candidate must be mobile. 
• Ability to drive. 
• Ability to travel 2-3 days at a time. 
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
