GENERAL SUMMARY:

Serves on the Marketing team in the Credit Union administrative setting. The primary responsibility is to provide excellent service by demonstrating the principals of SouthPoint Financial Credit Union, and adhering to the vision of “doing the right things for the right reasons”. The Marketing Analytics and Communications Specialist is responsible for building and expanding relationships with new and existing members through segmentation efforts, campaign results reporting, assisting with product management efforts and supporting sales efforts through analysis and competitive assessment. The Marketing Analytics and Communications Specialist is also responsible for assisting in formulating ways in which to package and position Credit Union products to increase market penetration and member share of wallet.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Create, write, edit, and design Credit Union publications and marketing materials, emails and press releases, ensuring brand consistency & accuracy. 
  2. Create queries, review and vet data and provide segmentation for key metrics and marketing purposes. 
  3. Develop A/B and multivariate testing strategies to understand the electronic member experience; develop and implement processes and procedures to regularly test, measure and improve electronic creative and content. 
  4. Develop advertising, including written copy and graphic design to promote sales of Credit Union products and services. 
  5. Work with external data bureau and suppliers to access new data sources and to produce direct marketing campaign data. 
  6. Coordinate with online campaigns including paid search, display and social media. 
  7. Prepare internal communications & training program materials related to marketing promotions or campaigns. 
  8. Ensure creative marketing materials undergo regular review and adhere to brand guidelines.
  9. Maintain & ensure appropriate stock levels of branch merchandising & member communication supplies. 
  10. Coordinate community relations and business development events; monitor planning, schedules and implementation as required for proper execution of each event. 
  11. Prepares feedback surveys for various stakeholders to understand member experiences. 
  12. Updates job knowledge by keeping current with regulations and accepted practices, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations. 
  13. Works effectively with vendors to maximize value of advertising spend. 
  14. Supports management with research and special projects as needed. 
  15. Will become familiar with various tasks and responsibilities of other marketing positions, i.e. website maintenance, search engine optimization, search engine marketing, social media and/or other critical functions. May perform as back up to these duties as needed. 
  16. Performs other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Document job procedures. Continual review of processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  2. Attend meetings, seminars, conferences and training courses. 
  3. Serve on various credit union committees as assigned. 
  4. Abide by all Bank Secrecy Act requirements.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  1. Requires Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or relevant field. 
  2. Requires knowledge of or ability to obtain the skills and knowledge with website content management systems. Requires proficiency in MS Office. 
  3. Experience with CRM and relational database tools and one to many email tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Marketo. 
  4. In-depth knowledge of digital and traditional media, as well as SEO, SEM, paid search, Google AdWords and/or Analytics, or other campaign management tools. 
  5. Preferred competency in desktop creative or video design software. 
  6. Requires excellent knowledge of credit unions products, services and delivery channels.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Prolonged sitting throughout the workday performing the job. 
  2. Working at computer 98% of the day. 
  3. Repetitive movements, including but not limited to typing, using a mouse, phones, etc. 
  4. Occasional lifting up to ten lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  1. Works in a typical administrative setting with climate control and appropriate lighting.
