The Foodservice Equipment Distributors Association (FEDA) provides advocacy, service, and education for over 250 foodservice equipment dealers in the United States, Canada, Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.

We are searching for a talented and innovative leader who will help the Association serve members at the highest level possible to help position them for growth and profitability. FEDA is currently based in Elgin, Illinois with an anticipated national office relocation to the Chicago/Rosemont, Illinois area planned for January 2019.

Responsibilities:

  • Continuously develop, implement, and enhance the association’s digital and print marketing and communications strategies. 
  • With association staff, develop, maintain, and implement content strategies in support of key organizational initiatives, positioning, and products. 
  • Write for, edit, and assist with the production of the association’s magazine and digital magazine news feed.
  • Manage website content and continue to enhance the website’s design and function, based on feedback from members.
  • Manage e-blast newsletters and online blog.
  • Guide the association’s social network structure and implement its member engagement strategy: run the engagement program and online advocacy campaign; send action alerts, manage community events, and communication.
  • Work with internal stakeholders (Young Industry Professionals) to develop digital marketing strategies (email campaigns, Micro campaigns, etc.).
  • Lead a continued SEO campaign, to include a strategy for FEDA members, FEDA’s presence on partner sites and social sites, content sharing, content tagging, and other tactics.
  • Create online member interactive tools, resources, surveys, and feedback prompts to achieve the association’s strategic performance goals.
  • Establish digital engagement metrics: use Web/social network data and tracking systems to compile online engagement reports and monitor activity/success in the online presences/research and message testing.
  • Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies, interface with IT and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth implementations. Serve as an enterprise-wide resource and knowledge manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, communication, marketing, technology, or related field with at least 5 years of progressive experience in digital and print marketing, writing, magazine editing and production, and website and digital communications content management. 
  • Excellent writing skills required. 
  • Proven experience engaging and increasing member interest through digital channels. 
  • Experience working directly with digital media, including posting YouTube videos, Facebook posts, and sponsored Tweets to drive key outcomes and goals. 
  • Expertise in Web optimization and Web analytics. 
  • Experience and strong proficiency in Customer Management or Engagement Management Software required. 
  • Exceptional customer service, communication and interpersonal skills, maturity, and professionalism to provide responsive support for members. 
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas, describe challenges and opportunities, and offer solutions.
  • Solid leadership ability and self-motivation.
