Are you our next Marketing and Sales Business Analyst?

We are currently seeking a Marketing and Sales Business Analyst at our Plymouth, Minnesota location. The Marketing and Sales Business Analyst will develop and maintain key marketing/sales tools as well as leverage data and analytics to support business goals, strengthen Mosaic’s brands and increase revenue. This position will partner with commercial team members to develop process and solutions for sales and marketing initiatives, programs and campaigns. The Marketing and Sales Business Analyst is also responsible for helping set goals, identifying trends and measuring the success of digital marketing tools and campaign tactics related to websites, social media, email marketing, etc. In addition, this position will identify and implement opportunities to further leverage Mosaic’s existing technology platform to deliver tools and tactics that improve customer experiences while promoting Mosaic brands to grow value and volume. Ideal candidates for this position will have a passion for enabling sales and marketing through technology, interpreting data and being a catalyst for change.

What will you do?

  • Digital Marketing Strategy: Leverage the Mosaic strategic technology platform (Salesforce.com) to design digital marketing initiatives related to promoting brands on websites, social media and other technology related tools and tactics 
  • Identify and promote opportunities to bridge audiences across various digital platforms
  • Coordinate with brand manager(s) to ensure all digital efforts are designed with full integration to the various technology platforms 
  • Collaborate with other functional teams (sales, public affairs, agronomy, new product development, etc.) to ensure that web and social media content supports overall business objectives 
  • Marketing & Sales Execution: Prioritize and coordinate content publishing activities and email campaigns using content management tools and processes and adhering to all best practices/guidelines in terms of content formatting, placement and timing 
  • Develop, implement and maintain digital tools and tactics that are aligned with the Mosaic go-to-market strategy 
  • Help ensure CRM is utilized effectively across marketing/sales and ensure customer contacts are tied to appropriate campaigns and events 
  • Share best practices and training 
  • Support Mosaic customer segmentation model – leveraging model to help define offers and experiences on an on-going basis 
  • Measure Results: Define measurement techniques, processes and goals for all digital marketing tactics related to campaigns, programs, tools and tactics 
  • Help define KPIs and measurement techniques as well as interpret data/analytics across marketing/sales 
  • Support content publishing status and relevant social media metrics / web and email analytics on a regular basis (i.e. monthly) to the marketing team 
  • Other: Track agriculture industry trends and issues with digital marketing and ensure our approach is leading edge or mainstream and is in compliance with all laws that govern email, tools, websites and social media 
  • Research and provide guidance on emerging trends and technologies related to digital marketing and business analytics 
  • Work with appropriate resources (i.e. I/T, sales ops, finance) to develop marketing/sales tools and tactics as applicable 
  • Develop maintenance schedule for tools/websites and resolve any issues that may impair the ability to post content quickly and effectively, such as content tools issues, needed site enhancements, unclear requests that conflict with quality guidelines, etc.

What do you need for this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree required with a major in Business or Marketing preferred 
  • 1-3 years business analysis/consulting, sales/marketing experience required 
  • Experience managing digital marketing tactics, marketing analytics and content management required 
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM tool required 
  • Salesforce.com certification preferred 
  • Experience with campaign management, customer segmentation activities preferred 
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience required 
  • Content Management Systems (CMS) e.g. salesforce.com libraries experience required 
  • Digital Analytics Tools e.g. Adobe, Google, Tag Management, social media analytics experience required 
  • Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud of Salesforce.com preferred 
  • Experience with social media – Facebook, Twitter, YouTube preferred 
  • Experiencing creating/managing dashboard and reporting tools preferred 
  • Experience in Mobile web design and app development preferred 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent presentation, facilitation and listening skills – as well as ability to interpret and translate complex data 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead through influence and network 
  • Ability to create effective partnerships across various functions within the organization as well as vendors 
  • Must have strong attention to detail and follow through 
  • Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking and decision making skills 
  • Ability to adapt to continually changing business and work environment 
  • Ability to lead process change and change management activities 
  • Demonstrated problem solving and strong focus on customer experience 
  • Familiarity with scope documents, business and technical requirements, site maps and wireframes preferred
