Identify and direct the development of integrated marketing communication plans and programs that encompass and integrate key marketing disciplines and vehicles, including paid, owned and earned media, search engine optimization, public relations, social media, direct marketing, promotions, sales enablement, channel marketing, event marketing, research efforts, corporate branding, and beyond. Communicate messaging, positioning and brand promise consistency throughout all programs. Position includes the coordination of new product/system trials, launches and full market commercializations. Candidate will also manage process and track projects, including creative and content development, internal reviews and approvals, job flow, production coordination and reporting/analysis. Includes cross-functional interaction with product marketing, packaging, sales, research, legal, safety, quality, and senior management. Serve as day-to-day contact with agency partners and ensure programs are delivered on time and within budget. Position will focus on the Tile and Flooring businesses.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Communication

  • Effectively communicate with all levels within USG organization.
  • Communicate with USG customers to achieve program goals.
  • Communicate programs, strategies, implementation process and expectations to USG marketing and sales organization.

External Agency Relationships

  • Manage outside partner agencies to accomplish marketing strategies and execute tactics.
  • Ensure verbal and visual consistency across programs.
  • Review and hold accountable partner agency resources on result measurements.

Strategy and Execution

  • Drive marketing communication strategies and develop innovative program solutions and tactics to drive results in support of marketing strategy and objectives.
  • Align with product management to understand business goals and objectives, as well as product and customer segments.
  • Develop positioning and branding to support new product launches.

Measurement

  • Develop clear program objectives.
  • Measure and evaluate expected and actual return on investment of programs.
  • Develop business case and metrics around program recommendations – measure, document and report results.

Budget Disciplines

  • Accountability and management of program budgets, including management of agency time and fees.
  • Set, define and propose budget parameters for programs and initiatives.
  • Manage external resources to meet budget requirements.

Industry Leadership/Brand Awareness

  • Identify opportunities to create increased brand awareness to target customer audiences.
  • Communicate messaging, positioning and brand promise consistency throughout program tactics.
  • Work collaboratively with product marketing teams, subject matter experts (SMEs) and agency partners to drive integrated activities.

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree – Marketing or related field
  • Master Degree preferred

Years of Experience:

  • Minimum of seven (7) years marketing or marketing communications experiences

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in developing and executing marketing communication strategies in support of business goals
  • Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Leadership skills with cross-functional team members in a matrix organization
  • Communication, project management and organizational skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of marketing, including product development and commercialization, and customer segmentation and buyer journeys
  • Marketing experience developing strategies and programs in a multi-channel, distribution environment
  • BtoB marketing experience
  • Understanding of USG products and distribution
