Reporting to the Marketing Manager in the Fishing Group, the person in this role is responsible for coordinating digital/marketing content and brand requirements to support building the brand and targeted campaigns. This will include, but is not limited to, managing content/editorial calendars, project managing the flow of content from ideation to development, and publishing in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors/agencies.

  • Coordinates the production, launch, reporting, optimization and retirement of digital assets, primarily to support targeted campaigns but also for evergreen digital assets. Develops innovative and creative media content across social media platforms.
  • Writes, ghostwrites, edits or repurposes copy for multi-discipline use across a wide variety of channels (websites, social media, email marketing).
  • Develops and maintains a content/editorial calendar (may include editorial, graphics/photos, videos, events) to plan content and product coverage. Tracks project tasks on content calendar holding regular meeting with stakeholders to review status and identify needs.
  • Builds and manages an inventory of content (including from vendor/partner feeds) which can be accessed and used/localized by the field.
  • Reviews current content processes and helps establish corporate guidelines and standards around the use and accuracy of consumer-facing content that is used by the brands.
  • Assists in building and deploying the marketing team’s strategy such as identifying delivery methods and developing new standards for “syndicated content,” taxonomy/search engine optimization, keyword development and internal review/approval process.
  • Participates in ROI analysis on marketing results and recommends specific modifications for increased effectiveness.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, New Media or equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years of related marketing experience.
  • Demonstrated ability and skills in using marketing content to connect and motivate audiences.
  • Ability to manage projects to meet deadlines on time and within budget.
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video).
  • Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels.
  • Demonstrated understanding of general marketing fundamentals and how to maintain brand standards.
  • Ability to recognize future trends in digital technologies and act proactively.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to effectively multitask and prioritize work.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Basic knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics a plus.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
