BrightStar Care, the nation’s leading home care and medical staffing franchisor, is searching for a Marketing Coordinator to drive consumer engagement and business results through social media and public relations. The ideal candidate has a strong command of social media channels like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn and understands how to build and execute a strategy that drives engagement.

This person will develop our social-media strategy and lead our public-relations strategy to inform consumers about the difference BrightStar Care nurses and caregivers make in families’ lives across the country every day. Creative, efficient, and an excellent writer, this expert understands the benefits of creating and adhering to a social media calendar and tracking results. This person is an impeccable communicator who knows how to spot, craft, and broadcast a great story when you see it.

The Coordinator can expect to be heavily involved in content creation and distribution across all of our social channels, and will assist with marketing campaigns and influencer marketing. Experience working with or in marketing, public relations, or media agencies would be applicable.

You will seamlessly interact with and support colleagues in the Marketing Department so we work together within an integrated marketing approach. There will be a significant amount of service to our franchisees who each maintain local social-media presences. Huge professional growth opportunity in a company that’s already growing fast. This position reports to the Manager of Creative Services. This position is located at BrightStar’s corporate headquarters located in Gurnee, Illinois.

  • Develop and execute a strategy to better leverage paid and organic social media to drive consumer engagement;
  • Manage national brand presence for social media sites including Facebook, Google, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn;
  • Write and edit engaging content for multiples channels, including social media posts, press releases, blogs, etc.;
  • Manage relationship with PR firm, and participate in Crisis Management situations;
  • Monitor and report performance of social media content and make recommendations to increase engagement, community growth, and site traffic;
  • Uphold consistent brand standards, brand voice and best practices for content creation and distribution;
  • Report findings of competitive social media audits;
  • Coach local BrightStar Care offices on social-media best practices.
  • At least 3-5 years experience with social media and/or PR strategy;
  • Excellent editorial skills and news judgement;
  • Provide 2-3 examples of proven results;
  • Strong, fast and creative writer and communicator;
  • Strategic thinker with an avid curiosity about the evolution of social media and an ability to quickly adapt to new and emerging channels, technology and consumer behaviors;
  • Strong organizational, project management, and analytical skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Outstanding customer-service skills;
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
