Do you have strong writing skills and an ability to develop compelling content for marketing communications and materials? Do you have a passion for using your talents to tell a story through the development of visual and written communication? If so, we have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to join our Marketing + Business Development team in downtown Saint Paul!

As a member of our team, you will have plenty of opportunities to share your ideas and express your creativity. You will work alongside a team of marketing professionals and work hand-in-hand with architects, engineers, and planners throughout the organization to gather intel on prospective clients and the professional services we will provide to create visually stunning and effective service proposals. You will utilize your design aptitude to assist with the development and production of graphics, interview presentations, and marketing communications materials. You will also utilize your creative and persuasive writing skills to create capability summaries, qualification summaries, project descriptions, team member resumes, and social media content. You will also have the opportunity to leverage your organizational and time management skills to track opportunity leads, coordinate end-to-end proposal production processes, facilitate project kick-off meetings, prepare project teams for interviews, and occasionally attend conferences and events as a TKDA representative.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism or related field. 
  • Minimum of two years of hands-on experience developing proposals and creating marketing communications materials in a professional services environment. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication and proofreading skills with a demonstrated ability to recognize proper use of grammar, punctuation, and spelling. 
  • Previous business, proposal/marketing, or technical writing experience; demonstrated ability to create conversational content using technical information provided by subject matter experts; ability to take information from multiple source and create a uniform, persuasive, and compelling message. 
  • Thorough understanding of the proposal development process and previous experience coordinating all facets of the proposal process: coordination, writing, interfacing with subject experts and project teams, editing/proofing, production, and quality control. 
  • Strong organization and time management skills demonstrated by the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 
  • Ability to self-motivate, work independently, work collaboratively, and exert a ‘where can I help?’ and ‘do whatever it takes’ attitude. 
  • Proficiency with Adobe InDesign and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Strong working knowledge of social media marketing strategies for Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. 
  • Ability to travel up to 10% to attend conferences, tradeshows, and other events.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience within the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction industry. 
  • Graphic design expertise across multi-media platforms. 
  • Previous experience using and maintaining client relationship management (CRM) databases. 
  • Previous experience coordinating conferences and other marketing events; previous experience serving as a company representative at events. 
  • Previous experience creating presentations with Prezi. 
  • Advanced graphic design, photography, videography or video editing skills.
