The Marketing Events Specialist will report to the Marketing and Communications Manager of the North American Thermo King team. The Marketing Events Specialist will plan and execute all corporate trade shows, assist in local customer events and development of sales tools, and work with the marketing team on product launches and communications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Planning and executing tradeshow promotional plans intended to maximize company exposure and produce sales leads. 
  • Logistical show work such as completing applications for participation, working with separate show vendors to ensure proper services are contracted and arranged, and ordering any product required for display. 
  • Develop booth layout and design 
  • Oversee all graphics and materials/display design and development 
  • Attend shows to oversee setup and during show booth management 
  • Maintain and manage the overall corporate tradeshow budget 
  • Develop post-show reports including competitive information and observations 
  • Manage contracts and relationships with outside vendors, and prepare ROI evaluations of events. 
  • Manage the convention lead generation process. 
  • Planning of set up and tear down of product displays in the booth, with assistance from onsite Show Services. 
  • Promote trade shows on Thermo King web site and through social media. 
  • Staffing the booth for the larger shows. 
  • Work with vendor on digital sales tools from online ROI calculators and configurators to excel-based calculators and tools. 
  • Work with Marketing and Product Management to develop “sales tools” that are effectively communicated to the dealer body as well as the field sales organization 
  • Dealer communication distribution

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Marketing and Communications
  • 3 years in a business environment, with at least 2 year of experience in corporate trade show execution or other related role
  • PC proficient to include Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to travel up to 15%
