The University of Wisconsin-Extension, division of Continuing Education, Outreach and E-Learning (CEOEL) is currently seeking a highly motivated Marketing Strategist to join our Marketing team.
The Marketing Strategist will be responsible for establishing, building and maintaining relationships between assigned academic program teams (internal client partners) and the marketing department. The Marketing Strategist acts as the marketing point of contact for their portfolio of programs and is responsible for the overall strategy and brand of that portfolio. This position supports development and manages execution of integrated marketing plans, tracks and manages planned media budgets, researches new audiences and media channels, and provides assessment of marketing performance and optimizes campaigns accordingly.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Internal liaison and point of contact to internal client partners. Understands the business and marketing needs of assigned program portfolio. Develops and cultivates relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the Marketing Director and Lead Marketing Strategist in the creation of marketing plans by providing input on messaging and tactics as it relates to program benefit and consumer needs, and assisting with defining objectives, strategies, tactics and performance metrics (including campaigns and development of new tactics where applicable)
- Collaborate with the marketing web content writers, media, and web team to create and implement creative briefs. Deliver all elements of the plan for all assigned programs/clients
- Create and manage timelines for each campaign/tactic in the marketing plan and ensure delivery on time Writing print and digital ads, brochure copy, and other marketing materials
- Present marketing materials, as appropriate, to internal client partner for feedback, input and approvals. Proof all materials and obtain appropriate approvals
- Manages agreed upon budget including invoicing as appropriate
- Assist in writing marketing plans and reports. This includes a summary of tactics and corresponding metrics.Work with appropriate marketing staff member to find and present the correct data.
- Research and maintain market current development within the higher education industry; ensure marketing strategy evolves appropriately
