Position Overview:

The Paid Social Media Manager plays a critical role within the Ciceron Digital Media Group as they are responsible for supporting the execution and day-to-day management of key client social media campaigns and initiatives, working closely with the Director of Social Marketing. Due to our agency’s rapidly increasing media work, we need someone who can come in and execute. It is imperative that the person who fills this position knows the social ad-platforms inside and out. If the extent of your ‘experience’ is boosting a few promoted posts, this will not be a good fit. We expect ‘social media advertising’ to be more than just a bullet-point on your resume.

Key areas of support for this role include:

  • 65% Paid Social
  • 15% Organic Social
  • 15% Client analytics, reporting and research
  • 5% Miscellaneous (support other areas of the business as needed)

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Support the Social Marketing Director in the ideation, research and development of channel plans, programs and campaigns for all clients 
  • Assist in development of audience targeting strategy by campaign; you must have knowledge of Interests, Behaviors, Lookalike audiences, Retargeting, Demographics and how to experiment and constantly iterate to find the right audiences. 
  • Execution of paid both paid and organic content across all channels 
  • Setup conversion tracking and pixel implementation 
  • Day-to-day management, performance monitoring and optimization of channel programs and campaigns 
  • Management and allocation of campaign budgets and client billing oversight 
  • Stay current on best practices and advancements within their areas of focus

Skills:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written 
  • Understanding of the digital landscape and social media metrics per platform 
  • Ability to differentiate between paid social ad placements 
  • First-hand experience in running social media campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat and Reddit (work was not farmed out to an agency or vendor) 
  • Willingness to learn about new tools and services 
  • Able to take direction and work both collaboratively as well as independently 
  • Able to multi-task and manage multiple campaigns and clients at one time

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience 
  • 3+ years’ experience within the paid social media environment 
  • Agency experience desired

Experience with the following:

  • Social network, self-service paid platforms (including, but not limited to Facebook Business Manager, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, SnapChat, Reddit, etc.) 
  • Management and execution of multi-channel paid media campaigns 
  • Social network account setup, access and billing 
  • Community management (all platforms) 
  • Google Analytics (or other analytics platforms, such as SiteCatalyst, WebTrends, etc.)
