The Senior Digital Designer position will be collaborating on a variety of integrated marketing campaigns, digital products, and web projects balancing between graphic designer, visual designer and mentor.

Responsibilities:

  • Mentor junior designers and review work under a brand lens while also executing own projects 
  • Apply conceptual thinking to create world-class digital services across multiple platforms, bringing together user needs, business goals and technical realities resulting in smart creative 
  • Develop sound UX concepts, including the definition of customer needs, task analysis, and the creation of personas, storyboards, scenarios, user flows and use cases 
  • Develop the digital brand and identity strategy for our partners 
  • Translate concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity despite system complexity 
  • Create quick concepts for the team and the client through storytelling and rapid prototyping methods, ranging from paper sketching to digital prototyping 
  • Develop concepts through storyboarding, scenarios, mood boards, iconography, photography and illustrations 
  • Give data meaning through information visualization 
  • Create style guides and brand guidelines to support print and web initiatives 
  • Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually 
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented 
  • Participate as a contributor to an interdisciplinary team that includes copy writers, content writers, front and back-end developers, account managers and project managers 
  • Mentor junior designers in concept, rationale, presentation and reviewing of assets 
  • Vocalize opinions and ideas to project team.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design 
  • 2-8+ years of professional design experience 
  • Extensive knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, basic knowledge of HTML/CSS a plus 
  • Strong web design portfolio with comprehension of user experience and responsive design 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Knowledge of printing procedures, photography, illustration and verbal and written communication 
  • Knowledge of marketing best practices and industry trends as it relates to lead generation, digital conversion, social media and SEO
