The Market Research Manager is an extraordinary position for a career-minded professional with strong critical thinking skills who desires to work in an entrepreneurial, values driven culture. This position is responsible for gathering research on market conditions, competitors, and trends using qualitative and quantitative research methods. This person must be adept at all aspects of research, from generation to analysis to recommendations and must be equally confident in presenting to key stakeholders and clients. Additionally, this individual is responsible for defining processes and deliverables that can be efficiently scaled across clients. This position will primarily support the Programmatic Advisory team within Collegis Content Solutions group. The Market Research Manager reports to the Senior Director of Product and Strategic Partnerships.

Responsibilities:

Direct all aspects of research projects from research strategy through project completion to ensure that research projects are designed and delivered successfully. Steps may include:

  • Research plan development and design providing actionable insights to maximize business success for internal and external clients 
  • Establish a family of repeatable, scalable processes and client deliverables 
  • Source and leverage historical data and current market knowledge/analysis to assess Client programmatic offerings and potential programmatic / product offerings 
  • Survey and questionnaire composition and programming for clients as needed 
  • Presentation of findings including key insights and actionable recommendations 
  • Completion of projects within timeline and budget 
  • Monitor and report on higher education industry trends via monthly/quarterly white papers and/or webinars 
  • Position self as subject matter expert in understanding the competitive market and emerging trends in programmatic degree demand 
  • Continually seek to identify new data sources that can be added to existing knowledge base 
  • Maintain repository of past research reports that can be referenced for future needs 
  • Handle special research project requests from Senior Collegis Leadership

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of Market Research experience 
  • Bachelor Degree required, M.B.A. Degree preferred 
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills 
  • Ability to generate insight-rich research findings to allow for informed and strategic decisions that have an immediate and direct impact on business 
  • Strong presentation and communication skills 
  • Critical thinker and problem solver 
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, including advanced expertise in Excel 
  • Mapping software expertise preferred 
  • Higher Education Industry background/knowledge is a plus 
  • Willingness to travel
