Position Purpose:

The Internal Communications Specialist will assist in the development and implementation of internal communications for the company’s worldwide colleagues, while providing support for the larger corporate communications team. The role will focus on the digital side of our communications as well as HR specific vehicles to promote colleague engagement and the overall integrity of the Entrust Datacard culture while aligning with corporate goals, objectives and brand. This position is responsible for supporting consistent communication about corporate news, events and priorities and reflecting the organization’s strategic vision and values.

Responsibilities:

Internal Communications (50%)

Key Actions/Activities:

  • Assist in the development of creative programs, activities and global internal communications programs that involve, inform and engage colleagues 
  • Distribute company-related announcements that reflect business objectives and company values. 
  • Assist with building content for the corporate intranet site 
  • Support and collaborate with the Senior Manager, Global Communications and Social Media to ensure corporate brand messaging, value propositions, strategies and guidelines are communicated consistently, accurately and professionally to Entrust Datacard colleagues worldwide. 
  • Update and abide by editorial calendars and production schedules for all internal communications vehicles on an annual basis (i.e., company meetings, events, announcements, videos, newsletters, etc.). 
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to define, develop and deliver communications plans for internal programs – including managing the Colleague Advisory Board, overseeing the process and nominations for the quarterly Values Excellence Awards and developing internal videos and social media communications 
  • Collaborate, with external vendors to assist in delivering on requested communications. 
  • Pursue and understand trends in the internal communications practices and social media environment, and provide ongoing recommendations to the organization. 
  • Develop and implement new social media opportunities as it relates to colleague communications and new hire recruitment

Digital Media (50%)

Key Actions/Activities:

  • Serve as support to Corporate Communications Manager – Public Relations 
  • Develop content to support the company’s social media outlets – including corporate blog, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Google+ and LinkedIn with a focus on employment brand 
  • Film, edit and publish videos of leaders and employees for specific communications initiatives and programs that can be utilized internally as well as externally on social media venues 
  • Manage the careers website – gathering feedback from the Talent Acquisition team and HR Leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations and/or Communications, or equivalent formal education and experience 
  • 5 plus years corporate communications experience, with an emphasis on internal communications 
  • Expertise in implementing internal/employee communications plans that generate measurable results 
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams 
  • Experience in social media environment, digital environment 
  • Superb communicator who is organized, collaborative, dynamic and ambitious 
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and responsibilities with strong execution orientation 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an integrated team environment 
  • Thrives in fast-paced, ever-changing business environment 
  • Experience creating and editing videos 
  • Creativity, ability to think out of the box and drive change 
  • Proficient with MS Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Eloqua and/or WordPress 
  • Experience in a large, complex, global technology organization

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 15%
