General Summary:

The Senior Marketing Coordinator supports Ghafari’s Marketing Department in promoting the proactive dissemination of the firm’s image and growth in the global marketplace.

Essential Job Functions:

Provide marketing support and assistance to technical and corporate staff. This may include:

  • Coordinate and preparation of proposals / presentations / qualifications packages (PPQs)
  • Write, format, proofread, edit, and produce marketing /sales literature.
  • Interface with management and technical team to generate appropriate marketing materials.
  • Conduct market intelligence and research.
  • Support public relations initiatives, including developing, writing and distributing press releases.
  • Respond to various writing, editing and image requests.

Serve as point of contact for internal clients initiating work within the department or organization.

Ensure all marketing and promotional materials are in compliance with corporate brand standards and guidelines.

Conduct interviews and gather experience from appropriate staff to write compelling pieces that communicate value proposition.

Write copy for external and internal communications, including the corporate website and employee newsletter.

Maintain and organize marketing databases and folders.

Coordinate events such as trade shows, conferences, ground breakings and grand openings.

Research, write and proactively track potential industry award submissions.

Assists in promoting a proactive sales and marketing culture throughout the corporate in compliance with corporate standards and guidelines.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, business, journalism or related field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a marketing / communications role
  • Architecture / Engineering / Construction industry experience strongly preferred

Skills/Competencies:

  • Excellent verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent business writing and grammar skills, as well as strong editing and proofreading skills 
  • Ability to work well both independently and cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department 
  • Energetic team player who can work comfortably with people of diverse skills, experience and opinions, including senior management 
  • Excellent multi-tasking, time management and organizational skills 
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments / deadlines simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy 
  • Computer literacy for all major business programs and email systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office programs required, knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs required
