C|O is looking for a Senior Media Planner to join our digital team. As a Sr. Media Planner, you’ll collaborate with internal, client, and media teams to track and evaluate trends, develop audience profiles, determine the strongest strategies, and provide analytics and insights across all traditional and digital media channels to lead your clients’ businesses and industries. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, creative and data-driven thinker who wants to contribute from day one, bringing a positive attitude with a drive towards teamwork, communication, and strategic solutions.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Act as lead strategic planner to create advertising/media campaigns 
  • Interact with multi-functional teams (Account Service, Creative, Digital, Public Relations)
  • Review and track client and industry information 
  • Analyze media vehicles for appropriate usage 
  • Continuously evaluate new opportunities and advise clients on the latest trends across all media (print, radio, television, digital, mobile, social, emerging, etc.) 
  • Negotiate rate efficiencies and value-add 
  • Create plan documents against budget 
  • Develop/assist in client presentations 
  • Execute plan elements 
  • Work directly with media partners to negotiate and secure investments 
  • Supervise Assistant Media Planner in paperwork 
  • Monitor and evaluate plan performance, optimize campaigns continuously against performance metrics 
  • Create and maintain client-facing analytic reports 
  • Facilitate client and media relationships 
  • Attend client meetings 
  • Provide regular status updates to client and internal teams 
  • Schedule and attend media representative meetings 
  • Participate in internal team and agency development 
  • Mentor, supervise, and train Assistant Media Planner
  • Develop and present agency training presentations on new ideas 
  • Attend regular agency education sessions 
  • Seek out and attend professional development sessions

Desired Experience/Traits:

  • Excellent presentation skills that foster and develop existing and new client relationships
  • Proven mentoring, supervisory, and team-building skills 
  • Passion for advertising, strategy, leading, and experience in traditional, non-traditional and digital media 
  • Experience in PPC and RTE digital strategy, execution and optimization (paid search, paid social, programmatic, native, video, etc.) 
  • Experience with media buying software Google Analytics and Google AdWords certifications
  • Experience with food, foodservice and/or agriculture clients

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree in Communications, Marketing or Advertising 
  • 3-5 years of experience with agency or media-related company preferred 
  • Digital experience a must
