The Social Media Communication Specialist is responsible for developing, managing, engaging and growing LPi's social media presence and customer communication. This position is an evangelist for the LPi mission to build vibrant parishes.

 WHAT YOU WOULD DO:

  • Manage the daily social media content calendar, ensuring that all content is cross-promoted on relevant platforms. Includes writing copy and identifying visual assets to support messages.
  • Collaborate with content specialists to develop unique, relevant, and engaging Catholic stewardship and communications content for social media, corporate blogs, and eNewsletter.
  • Collaborate with internal team members, vendors and guests to create innovative and integrated social media campaigns in support of products, brands, and marketing initiatives that are engaging, build community and drive traffic to the 4lpi website.
  • Monitor social media platforms and online chatter interactions. Provide thoughtful and timely responses and coordinate with other departments as needed to attain necessary information for responding.
  • Lead development and analysis of social media reporting. Identify program, campaign and platform trends and metrics and recommend ways to optimize content to increase reach, engagement and revenue.
  • Manage the company eNewsletter, ensuring that all content is unique, relevant and engaging. Includes topic development, managing content through organic and third party authorship.
  • Support other marketing projects as needed and assigned. Includes lead gen campaigns, conferences, seminars, publications, and products.

YOUR SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, journalism, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in a social media position preferred
  • Experience in a Catholic parish or organization preferred
  • Knowledge of the Catholic Church and a passion for vibrant parishes
  • Experience with social media platforms, including but not limited to, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, blogs and more
  • Exceptional time and project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple stakeholders and projects with changing priorities
  • Excellent, professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong copy writing skills with a creative vision, Catholic understanding, and sound judgment to make on-the-spot decision
  • Technically savvy with an ability to quickly and effectively research and learn new tools and techniques
  • Contribute in a team environment and/or independently, to provide excellent customer relations
