Position Overview:

At Risdall, we harness creativity, technology and data to help brands live fully and effectively online – delivering interconnected digital communication solutions for clients across the B2C and B2B marketing spectrum. Risdall is looking for an exceptional, integrated-minded Social Media Strategist to join us and help make great things happen for our clients.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will be bring energy and inspiration to Risdall and have a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and will create and optimize content so that it is engaging on those channels. The Social Media Strategist will:

  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification 
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action 
  • Maintain and operate in coordination with overall brand standards of agency clients 
  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content 
  • Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community 
  • Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules 
  • Lead brainstorming for social campaigns or promotions 
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information 
  • Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales, etc.) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of agency experience in developing and implementing social media as part of and integrated communication program. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating digital content for a range of social channels targeting a variety of demographic targets. 
  • Experience in social media strategy across all platforms and communications channels, including but not limited to Google+, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Foursquare, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Instagram. 
  • Hands-on social media program execution (community management, blogger outreach, etc.). 
  • Our ideal candidate will have successfully launched community management / influencer programs. 
  • Demonstrated writing abilities across a variety of content channels. 
  • Experience with social media measurement and reporting. 
  • Familiarity with search engine optimization and search engine marketing. 
  • Familiarity with paid social media planning and measurement. 
  • A strong team orientation that advances the collaborative culture of Risdall. 
  • Ability to illustrate a results-focused approach and commitment to going the extra mile for clients. 
  • Experience working directly with clients on day-to-day activities. 
  • Energetic, self-starter and resourceful problem solver – gets things moving and keeps them on track. 
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple continuous activities. 
  • Good interpersonal skills, can work effectively in a team environment, negotiate approvals diplomatically, and maintain composure and quality under deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to work as a part of a team in the development of client and new business programs and presentations.
