The purpose of this position is to direct the business development and direct audience development initiatives that help grow, retain and diversify our various digital audiences. This position will work closely with members of the sales team to position HIMSS demand generation products into the market. In addition to providing training for staff and provide demos to clients that illustrate the value of the demand generation products, this position will also manage the fulfillment of sold demand generation programs, working with external and internal client services to ensure that all sold campaignsidentify the right audience segments, contain appropriate messaging, and ensure that all tactics are accurately and efficiently deployed. Critical thinking, data driven mindset, strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to provide guidance and feedback to clients on ways to improve campaign performance are essential.

Your responsibilities:

  • Supports Sales and Client Services staff as they position HIMSS Media Demand Generation Products into the market. 
  • Provides product demos to clients, either face-to-face or via WebEx. 
  • Works with clients on effective product and audience selection. 
  • Sets up, improves and iterates on demand generation programs, funnel processes and efficiencies, and continuously experiment with more efficient ways to convert incoming and existing leads. 
  • Manages the scheduling and fulfillment of demand generation campaigns. Works with clients on email creative and audience selection. 
  • Works with the newly formed enterprise-wide database team on best practices around data integrity, email deployment, and audience marketing. 
  • Develops, produces, and manages the marketing automation operations for audience development campaigns and promotions for HIMSS. 
  • Manage and optimize key conversion points in the marketing funnel, including PPC ads, landing pages, website calls-to-action (CTAs), and thank you pages. 
  • Gives input to other marketing team leads on content, design, process and lead management. 
  • Oversees the data needs for HIMSS Media. Works closely with the Audience Analyst on sales, marketing, and brand-reach and program data analysis.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience, in Marketing, Sales, or Audience Development. 
  • A minimum of 5 years of related work experience in marketing automation, database management and sales support. 
  • Outstanding analytical skills with ability to achieve results in a complex environment. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Effective listener. 
  • Ability to articulate and to sell ideas and concepts. 
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills. Strong personal integrity. 
  • Previous experience in Audience Marketing and circulation fulfillment. 
  • Customer focused with assertive, self-confident personality. 
  • Superior planning skills, both strategic and tactical. 
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships.
