The Marketing Communications group is responsible for communicating S&C’s solutions simply and powerfully to customers, key contributors, and the industry at large.

The Strategic Communications Associate reports to the Assistant Manager – Strategic Communications as part of the Applied Grid Solutions group at S&C. The position is responsible for executing multiple campaigns for S&C’s key marketing initiatives. Supports development of integrated marketing communications plans that connect strategic business objectives (e.g., lead generation, brand awareness) with marketing strategies and measurable return on objectives. Works closely with cross-functional teams throughout the company to create compelling content to pique customers’ interest and introduce them to our unique products and capabilities.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Supports the development of marketing communications plans in collaboration with supervisors, product management, business development, and regional business units 
  • Supports the development of content plans 
  • Executes content to spark and introduce ideas to customers via various channels (e.g., web, print, social) 
  • Works with subject-matter experts to create copy and visuals that simply explain complex ideas 
  • Builds strong partnerships with Creative Services, Editorial teams, and outside vendors to execute content 
  • Ability to apply knowledge of customer challenges and S&C’s unique differentiators to develop content 
  • Sets goals for campaign, as well as tracks, measures, and summarizes their effectiveness 
  • Commits to understanding the power industry and S&C’s solutions

To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Journalism, Communications, English, or related field 
  • 3+ years of marketing experience 
  • B2B marketing experience preferred 
  • Proven experience as a key contributor to team, especially pertaining to marketing campaign successes 
  • Demonstrated ability developing content to convey technical or complex ideas 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills 
  • Detail oriented and strong problem-solving skills 
  • Expertise in MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) 
  • SalesForce.com and Pardot experience a plus 
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) a plus

Relevant Work Experience:

  • Three years of experience in communications, public relations, and marketing experience 
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
