What we're looking for:

We are seeking a talented marketing and communications executive who will serve as a member of the executive team overseeing the Society's marketing, member communication, and public information activities. This role is responsible for providing strategic direction, leadership and management of customer-centered marketing and communications across a variety of channels to meet organizational goals. This role will provide support and guidance to volunteer leaders to advance the Society's programs and brand.

What you'll do:

  • Assist in developing long-range plans and administering programs in alignment with the Society's strategic goals. Serve as a member of the top executive team to assist the Executive Director in the daily management of the RSNA Headquarters operations.
  • Oversee a team of staff in strategic planning and implementation of marketing activities to meet organizational goals.
  • Drive customer-centered marketing strategy and multi-channel delivery.
  • Oversee a team of staff in strategic planning and implementation of member communications, public information, and media relations to meet organizational goals. 
  • Work with the Board of Directors and committees to provide insights and guide development of initiatives. 
  • Develop employees and manage performance within the division. 
  • Stay up-to-date on trends and developments in the industry, changes in the environment, and identify opportunities appropriate for RSNA to foster innovation in pursuit of its mission. 
  • Drive the use of data for informed decision making and evaluation of programs.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required, Master's degree preferred 
  • 10 or more years of experience in marketing and communications, association management (preferably in healthcare) and/or non-profit management 
  • Demonstrated success leading customer-centered marketing and/or communications at an organizational level 
  • Excellent communication skills to develop, deliver, and receive clear messages across all channels and with all audiences 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively by building relationships across all departments and levels 
  • Ability to think and plan strategically as well as manage execution of projects 
  • Ability to balance multiple projects, prioritize work, problem solve and deliver results 
  • Highly analytical with demonstrated success using data to drive decisions 
  • Experience guiding volunteers in program strategy, development, delivery and evaluation 
  • Proven success as a supervisor, coach and developer of staff
