Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Director and institutional needs to provide a high level of service to stakeholders;
  • Creates communications and special event pathways for recruiters to connect with students and alumni of Loyola University Chicago in all schools and colleges (with the exception of the Law school);
  • Member of career services leadership team that provides strategic, operational and managerial leadership to all areas of career services;
  • Work closely with the Employer Relations Team to translate employer connections and outreach into the right pathways for recruiting current graduate and undergraduate students;
  • Supervises the Senior Special Events Coordinator; Information Systems Coordinator; Operations Manager (0.5)
  • Designs and delivers career services social media, mass communications, website copy, branding, special event marketing, etc.
  • Design and deliver various opportunities for employers to connect with students including but not limited to expert panels, job fairs, on-campus recruiting, etc;
  • Keep career services current on higher education communication trends;
  • Collaborate with campus partners, faculty, student groups and employer partners to co-sponsored events;
  • Collect and analyzes feedback, metrics and data to apply to annual reports, future planning, and division-wide initiatives;
  • Serve as the internal point of contact on internship postings, etc.
  • Contribute to career outcomes collection and utilization;
  • Oversee recruiting database operations;
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Higher Education, Communications, Marketing, or similar program;
  • 3-5 years of professional experience creating communication vehicles & marketing campaigns;

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Communications, Marketing, or similar program;
  • Master’s degree
  • 3-5 year of professional experience creating communication vehicles & special events;
  • Knowledge of and enthusiasm for working with college students and alumni;
  • Experience working with recruiters/human resources professionals;
  • Previous experience in training and development, marketing, special event, and/or career services.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to multi-task in rapidly changing environment;
  • Managerial experience;
  • Mastery of social media as a marketing & communication tool

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, OneDrive and web content management.
  • Familiarity with basic database functionality (i.e. Symplicity, Saleforce)
  • Proficiency in social media for event and program promotion purposes.
