The Associate Marketing Manager, Integrated Marketing will assist the Senior Manager, Integrated Marketing to differentiate and communicate the brand, raise consumer awareness with both existing and potential customers, expand the company’s reach within marketing channels and create stronger in-store marketing efforts. This role will focus on the Hair and Skin Retail Categories, and will also have integration with Salon Services

Additionally, this role will interface directly with key vendor partners to drive the Ulta Beauty business. The Associate Marketing Manager should be versed in strategy development, brand building and critical thinking with a passion for beauty and an aptitude for retail.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (*Essential Functions):

  • Provide support in Hair and Skin marketing planning, development and execution for the Integrated Marketing team; 
  • Leading marketingsupport of annual campaignlette planning and execution (i.e. The Gorgeous Hair Events, Love Your Skin Event 
  • Leading quarterly marketing support for specific brand launches/initiatives. 
  • Collaborating closely with merchandising, store ops, creative services, legal and other key stakeholder groups to ensure clear and concise execution of marketing plans/strategies. 
  • Working in conjunction with internal and external resources to create marketing tactics that support a wide-range of integrated promotions, campaigns and events 
  • Overseeing and trafficking specific projects from concept to completion, obtaining necessary stake-holder sign-off throughout the process 
  • Developing communications to ensure understanding and effectiveness of marketing programs internally as well as in the field 
  • Developing and maintaining project timelines to ensure deadlines are met 
  • Writing and proofreading marketing campaign tactics/copy to ensure accuracy and consistency, while aligning to brand standards 
  • Tracking/analyzing results to determine effectiveness of marketing campaigns; assisting in post-mortem of campaign performance 
  • Participating in meetings with key Hair and Skin brands to stay informed of product launches and brand initiatives 
  • Maintaining knowledge of retail and salon offerings, capabilities, customer needs, internal operation processes and competitive landscape 
  • Travel may be required (<10% of time)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • The knowledge and skills required for this position are typically acquired in at least 4-5 years of relevant experience in a direct-to-consumer marketing or advertising setting 
  • Strong leadership skills - including thought leadership, team leadership, and problem solving 
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and project management skills/experience 
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills 
  • Solid strategic thinking and planning skills; experience developing and executing marketing plans. 
  • Solid skills in analytics and data-driven business planning. 
  • Solid background in consumer insight, and consumer insight-driven business planning. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral 
  • Effective interpersonal skills to interact with cross-departmental groups 
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment 
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office programs 
  • Demonstrated creativity and creative management, including collaborating with a creative team and/or agency partner 
  • Passion for business/the work and a constant learner 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or related discipline required
