Kane Communications Group is seeking an ambitious, professional and self-motivated, organized Associate, Public Relations to add to the team!

And we implement our recommendations; which may include brand and marketing campaign development; public, media and community relations; events; social and digital marketing; and more. The Associate, Public Relations is Responsible For…

  • Providing key account support and coordination for the Kane Communications Group Public Relations team, setting up meetings, building agendas, developing client conference reports, monthly activity reports and keeping projects on track.
  • Writing and editing media materials such as fact sheets, media alerts, bios, owned content, employee communications and presentations.
  • Researching for and drafting content to submit to client social media platforms; source and organize content (i.e. relevant articles, images, media placements, etc.) for clients’ social media calendars.
  • Researching industry trends, competitors, audience demographics, media-relevant influencers and specific editorial beats per client.
  • Effectively manage projects against deadlines and within budget, close the loop on assignments and notify team members when action items are complete.
  • Assisting with work for media events and desk sides, including creating invite lists, organizing tables or displays, on-site social media, arranging car services and creating post-event reports with media feedback.
  • Collaborating with Kane’s marketing, digital and video teams

Experience Needed:

  • 1-2 years in a public relations or marketing agency or an in-house position
  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, journalism or a related field
  • Self-starter who is organized and an excellent communicator
  • Entrepreneurial in spirit, eager and able to thrive in a fast paced and growing agency
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines and deliverables
  • Experience writing for social, public relations or other communications platforms
  • Experience in professional and client settings
  • Experience in agency or corporate communications settings preferred
  • Experience as a journalist is a plus
