The Audience Acquisition Manager will play a key role in implementing strategy and tactics to help grow our digital audience and deepen our engagement with target audiences through our various digital channels. Working closely with our digital, marketing and editorial teams, the Audience Acquisition Manager will create and execute a clear audience development strategy using a variety of metrics as well as our Customer Data Platform (CDP).

Responsibilities:

  • Work with individual publishers to establish an annual circulation plan and budget- Majority being digital audience, a minority in print.
  • Constantly testing new channels and partnerships to expand our publications reach to new, untapped audiences.
  • Provide a promotional cost analysis report, by publication, on a monthly basis.
  • Work with marketing to write and design new name promotional efforts to include email and targeting unknown web traffic to convert to known traffic by using our customer data platform.
  • Work within our established audience relationship management platform to query the database and push lists out for various deployment efforts.
  • Mapping and appending the database(s) to allow for optimal performance in reaching business objectives.
  • Experience in customer acquisition (lead generation, nurturing, conversion, retention).
  • Analytical, with a proven ability to interpret large amounts of data quickly and extrapolate the most important/relevant information to make audience development decisions.
  • Ability to work together with a team as well as the ability to communicate clearly with other employees. 
  • Proactive problem solving skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and knowledge of general database applications.
