This position is responsible for maintaining the Department of Tourism’s high standards of brand excellence by supervising an internal marketing team responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans and programs. This position will champion a collaborative working relationship between internal teams and external marketing agencies and vendors to ensure marketing programs, projects and campaigns in all mediums and channels; traditional, digital and social, are strategically focused and deliver on overall department goals and objectives.

The position will supervise and inspire staff. Position will understand marketing and branding best practices, understand and apply primary and secondary research and communicate intelligence to all levels of the organization and with external vendors effectively. Position will a establish timelines, monitor status, assign projects and measure results.

The position requires innovation, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced marketing environment.

This position is housed at the Department of Tourism’s central office located in downtown Madison under the limited supervision of the Director of Marketing and Advertising.

Starting hourly rate for the Marketing Supervisor positions will be $23.38 - $31.00 per hour, plus excellent benefits.
